Followed by a short tour of the school before we explore the community of Site B one of Khayelitsha’s older settlements. Soon after we will catch a local taxi to the Khayelitsha Remembrance Square, a monument made of mosaic artwork. There we will wrap up the history of Khayelitsha through mosaic artwork.
After a short history session, we will continue our walk through Khayelitsha Mall towards mini Africa, a local informal market field with many African immigrants. A vibrant space filled with people from Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Malawi and various neighbouring countries.
